Welcome. I'm Meg — author, minister, and doctoral scholar writing at the place where grace theology meets real, unraveling life.

My debut novel, Sewn in Grace: Emmy's Story, releases Fall of 2026. It's a story about a woman who teaches grace and cannot give it to herself. I think you might know her.

When threads unravel, grace begins to sew.

Meg Elizabeth Brown is an author, biblical studies scholar, and founder of The Behold Collective, a women’s discipleship ministry focused on helping women behold God through Scripture and live formed, intentional lives in Christ. She is the creator of the beloved Sewn Sisters Series, where faith, healing, family, and community are woven together through emotionally rich storytelling. Through her writing, teaching, and ministry, Meg invites women to encounter God in both extraordinary and everyday moments of life.

A Glimpse Inside

What’s the story?

Emmy Montgomery co-owns Tea&Thread, a tea shop and sewing studio in the small Nebraska town of Cornell Plains, with her three sisters-in-law. She is writing her doctoral dissertation on grace. She is also receiving threatening letters that she hasn't told anyone about.

What themes are a part of the first book in the Sewn Sisters Series?

Sewn in Grace is a story about chosen sisterhood, relational healing, and the doctrine that is easy to preach and hard to practice — especially on yourself. Set in the warmth of a tea shop in a Nebraska winter, it reads like Jan Karon meets Susan May Warren, with a thread of suspense sewn through every chapter.

Who This is For

This book is for you if —

  • You know the theology of grace and are still learning to live inside it

  • You have given grace freely to everyone around you and almost none to yourself

  • You love the feeling of a warm kitchen, a good book, and women who tell each other the truth

  • You have loved an adopted or hard-to-reach child and wondered if you were enough

  • You are leading, serving, and quietly fraying at the edges
